Professor Underhill:
"Very good! I'm Ermine Underhill, and I research voles, pocket gophers, snowshoe hares, weasels, ground squirrels, and other small mammals found in Hayden Valley."

Dr. Latran Lupus:
"I'm Dr. Latran Lupus, and I've studied canids half my life. Although I'm a bit shy to admit it, I host my own television show, which won three Hammy Awards for the episode, Every Dog Has Its Day. It starred Yellowstone's foxes, coyotes, wolves, and, of course, moi. I must say the wardrobe was delightful!"

Dr. Elkie Bisonne:
"I am Elkie Bisonne and my specialty is ungulates - that is animals with hooves. Hayden Valley is famous for elk and bison, although moose and deer are occasionally seen there. Pronghorn and bighorn sheep live in other parts of Yellowstone."

GLOSSARY:
canids- a member of the dog family. In North America, this includes wolves, coyotes, foxes, and domestic breeds
