Brooke Riparian, Ph.D.:
"Hello, I'm Brooke Riparian, Ph.D. The Ph. D. stands for 'pools, hot springs, and drainages.'

Just a little humor, folks! I'm tickled pink to be here to talk to y'all about the life forms in and around the waters of Hayden Valley. Notice I said life forms - birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and insects, as well as microorganisms living in hot springs."

Barry Grizblack:
"As usual, I'm last. Barry Grizblack, here, and bears are my specialty. Two species of 'em, the black and the grizzly, live in Hayden Valley.

Inspector, my time is valuable. Let's stop the chit chat and get to the mystery."
