Where the Bison Roam
Act 1, Scene 4, Page 25 of 47
The Firehole River Valley is rich in hydrothermal areas and hot springs vegetation, so we stopped monitoring Rosie regularly once she arrived. We really thought she was going to be okay. (A little catch in her voice) Little did we know that soon we would be worried once again about her very survival!
Why in the world did you stop monitoring her?
Yellowstone is a wild place and there’s no way to predict or stop many of the park’s natural dangers. We all realized Rosie could be killed or injured, but she had reached good winter range. Her chances for survival were as good as those of any bison.
